Camera isn't working

When you've selected a camera to use for a One-Way or Live Video Interview on Spark Hire, but you do not see any video, try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure you nothing is covering your camera which would prevent anything from being visible. Some devices have a physical shutter.
  2. Close other applications which use your camera such as Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime, etc.
  3. Restart your device.
  4. Ensure you're using a supported browser and you have the the latest version:
  5. Check permissions: allow the site to use your camera when prompted by the browser
  6. Update or reinstall your webcam driver (computers). See your device maker: LogitechDellLenovoHPASUSSamsungSony.
  7. Try another camera or switch to a mobile device. On Android, use Chrome; on iOS, use Safari
