Supported browsers for live video interviews

If you receive a message about using an unsupported browser or are simply curious about the browsers that are compatible with a Spark Hire live video interview, refer to the details below depending on your device and/or operating system.

Supported browsers on Windows or Mac

If you are using a Windows or Mac computer for your Spark Hire live video interview, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.

  • You can download the latest version of Google Chrome here. (Recommended)

In order to use the latest version of Google Chrome on Mac, please ensure you are using macOS 13 Ventura or newer

Supported browsers on Android device

If you are using an Android device for your Spark Hire live video interview, you will need to use the latest version of Google Chrome.

Supported browsers on iOS device

If you are using an iOS device for your Spark Hire live video interview, you will need to use the latest version of Safari. You can ensure you are on the latest version of Safari by being on the latest version of iOS.

iPad setting

If you're using an iPad for your live video interview, Safari may be set to request the desktop version of the site, which will be detected as incompatible.

To resolve this, go to your device Settings > Safari > Request Desktop Website and toggle this setting off.

Once turned off, please refresh and enter the live video interview again.

Unsupported browser error message

If you continue to receive a message about your browser being unsupported, it's likely that your device is opening your live video interview in whatever your default browser is. To get around this, you can change your default browser or alternatively, simply copy your live video interview link and paste it directly in the address bar of one of the supported browsers above.
